James Tibbs

James Tibbs, age 69, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. James was born on Nov. 4, 1944 to his parents the late Ed Tibbs and Charity Tibbs. James was the husband of Rebecca Orias Tibbs, a retired deputy sheriff, and a believer of the freewill baptist faith. Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by one brother. In addition to his wife, James is survived by one daughter, Barbara Adkins, one son, Jonathan Tibbs, three brothers, Jean, Jack, & Charles Tibbs, one sister, Jill Tibbs, two grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday August 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
