Greg Compton

Gregory Wayne Compton, age 62 of Virgie, Ky. passed away Saturday September 13,2014 at his residence. Greg was born December 5,1951 to his parents, the late James David Compton Jr. and Emma Rose Gibson Compton. Greg was a coal miner and later worked for Whayne Supply and was a member of the Long Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents Greg was preceded in death by his first wife, Adell Johnson Compton. Greg is survived by his wife, Charlotte Tackett Compton, one son Greg Compton and his wife Stacy. Step Children, Angela (Michael) Robinson, Karen (Warren) Lynch, Freddie (Melissa) Bowling, Ricky (Alisha) Bowling, Jessie (Sonya) Bowling, one brother Larry (Mary Helen) Compton, one sister Judie (Ron) Durbin, two grandchildren, Jay and Lynnsey Compton, nine step-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who love him and will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Saturday 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home, Funeral will be Monday 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home, there will be singing Saturday evening and Church Services Sunday evening at 7 p.m.
