Jennifer Sue Coleman, age 43, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jennifer was born on August 8, 1971 to her parents Sprylet Kinney Byrd and the late Bobby Gene Smith. She was the wife of Michael Coleman, a security guard, and a believer of the baptist faith. Along with her husband and mother, Jennifer is survived by one daughter, Carrie Vance of Pikeville, one son, Michael Coleman of Fish Trap, one brother, Stuart Metcalf of Georgetown, Ky., one sister, Bobbie Smith of Shelby Gap, Ky., two step brothers, Scotty & Greg Byrd, five grandchildren, Darrin Michael, Bradyn, Calli, Cailynn, and Marlee, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Jack Adkins, Clinard Ratliff, and Stuart Metcalf officiating. Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery at Shelbiana.
