Pauline Gibson Ratliff, age 84, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at her home. Pauline was born on Nov. 18, 1929 to her parents the late Sid Gibson and Mary Hobson Gibson. She was the wife of the late Arnold E. Ratliff, retired lunchroom manager for Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Pauline was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Pauline is survived by two daughters, Vonda (Doug) Coburn, Sharon (Billy) Brown, three grandchildren, Anita Brown, Steve (Schlonda) Brown, Johnna (Tommy) Compton, five great grandchildren, Justin (Kayla) Tackett, Tanner Tackett, Grace Brown, Jacob Brown, Chloe Compton, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with John Vance and Morgan Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Buckfield.
