Jimmy Dye

Jimmy Dye, age 90, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Johnson City, Tn. Jimmy was born on June 1, 1924 to his parents the late Earl Dye and Mary Pinson Dye. He was the husband of the late Frankie McCown Dye, a car salesman, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his wife and parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Thornbury. Jimmy is survived by one brother, Norman Dye of Pikeville, one sister, Ruth Huffman of Kingsport, Tn., special niece and caretaker, Debbie Martin, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Betty Anderson Cemetery at Pikeville.
