Alfred Belcher, age 81, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Alfred was born on Jan. 11, 1933 to his parents the late Printus Belcher and Victoria Potter Belcher. He was the husband of Margaret Mullins Belcher, self employed Belcher Car Sales & Farm, a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith, and he also served his country honorably U.S. Army. Along with his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by five infants, five sisters, one brother, and one special brother-in-law, Ballard Huston. Along with his wife, Alfred is survived by one son, Alfred Belcher Jr., three daughters, Vicky Lynn White, Janet Smallwood, Joyce Belcher, two sisters, Thelma Ripley, Marge Moses, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Printis Belcher Cemetery at Dorton.
