Joyce Hopson

Joyce Thompson Hopson, age 78, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at her home. Joyce was bornon Sept. 9, 1936 to her parents the late Amos Thompson and Martha Parsons Thompson. She was the wife of James E. Hopson, a homemaker, and a member of the Maranatha Bible Church. Along with her husband, Joyce is survived by one son, Mike (Susan) Hopson, two daughters, Terri (Greg) Bryant, Rhonda (Greg) Hensley, six brothers, Ernest, Charles, JoEd, Larry, Johnny, & Barry Thompson, five sisters, Jacqueline Kendrick, Nell Ruth Tackett, Judy Muncy, Ruby Ann Meade, Doris Lee (Joan) Neiderriter, special niece, Karen Thompson, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Mike Hopson officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Buckfield.
