Belle Damron

Belle Damron, age 87, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at the Signature Health Care Center. Belle was born on May 28, 1927 to her parents the late Morgan Chaney and Didema Harris Chaney. She was the wife of the late Fred Damron, a homemaker, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Belle was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Harvey, and Garland Chaney, and one sister, Tilda Chaney. Belle is survived by three sons, James (Fletcher) Damron, Timmy Damron, Fred Damron Jr., two daughters, Kathy Khoshreza, Barbara Cleveland, one sister, Imal Elswick, two brothers, Raymond and Clarence Chaney, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
