Stanford Chaney

Stanford Chaney age 93 of Pikeville passed away Friday, December 19,2014 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Stanford was born November 4,1921 to his parents, the late Ben and Effie Chaney. Stanford was a retired school teacher, he worked for the Pike County Board of Education for 41 years. and was of the Baptist faith. Along with his parents, Stanford was preceded in death by his wife Anna Ruth Chaney and one sister Kathleen. Stanford is survived by one brother, Ben Chaney, and a good friend, Johnny Day. Visitation will be Saturday December 20, 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Sunday December 21, 2 p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Short Family Cemetery at Pound VA.
