Arlie Bevins

Arlie Bevins, age 86, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born on February 7, 1928, the son of the late Bud K. and Neava Bevins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Reable Owens Bevins, four brothers and one sister. Before his retirement, Arlie worked as a coal miner for Republic Steel Co. and was a member of the Little Pond Old Regular Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Kilgore and Wilma Hall, by a son, Arlie Dean Bevins, by a brother, John Bill Bevins, two sisters, Betty Lou Mullins and Roberta Bartley, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery at Draffin. Special services will be held on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7 p.m.
