Juanita Edith (Granny) Robinson, age 82, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Edith was born on June 7, 1932 to her parents the late Alex Prater and Nellie Adkins Prater. She was the wife of the late Corburt Robinson, a homemaker, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Juanita was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Looney. Juanita is survived by one son, Michael Robinson, four daughters, Sheila (Evans) Williams, Pamela (Dennis) Browand, Deborah (Roger) Justice, Diana (Garfield) Thacker, two brothers, Benny Prater, Don Kinney, three sisters, Beulah Thacker, Wilma Jarvis, Shelby Scott, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Greasy Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Gillespie Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
