Launa Scott

Launa Hopson Scott, age 74, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Akron General Hospital in Akron, Ohio. Launa was born on March 17, 1940 to her parents the late William Bill Hopson and Goldie Bartley Hopson. She was a homemaker. Along with her parents, Launa was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie "Ben" Scott, by one son, Randy Lynn Scott, four brothers, L.D. and Kenneth Odell (both died in infancy), Harold Gaye (Beverly) Hopson, and Paul Blake (Sue) Hopson and one sister, Myrtle Alice "Big Sissy" (Jim Green) May. Launa is survived by one son, Rockey Layne (Najwa) Scott, one sister, Nina Sue (Neil Thomas)Childers, three grandchildren, Rockey Lynn "Little Rock" Scott, Dylan William Scott, and Casey Lane Scott, one granddaughter, Laylia (Justin) Meyers, and one great granddaughter, Kaiya Layne Meyers,and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her and loved her dearly. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Little Hattie Old Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Little Hattie Old Regular Baptist Church with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating.
