Marie Puckett

Marie Puckett, age 89, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at her home. Marie was born on Oct. 15, 1925 to her parents the late Monroe Looney and Belva Ramey Looney. She was the wife of the late Herman Puckett, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by six brothers, Edgar, Russell, Clifford, Clinard, Bobby, and Donald Looney, and one sister, Melster Hall. Marie is survived by two sons, Leslie (Monica) Puckett, Larry (Lucille) Puckett, two daughters, Wanda (Richard) Gibson, Donna (Ronnie) Johnson, two brothers, Ted Looney, Kenneth Looney, one sister, Betty Mullins, eleven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday and Monday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jerry Overstreet and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery.
