Creed Damron, age 94, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. Creed was born on Oct. 29, 1920 to his parents the late Ruben Damron and Rosetta Compton Damron. He was the husband of Georgia Lee Branham Damron, a retired post master at Robinson Creek Post Office, former deputy sheriff, and a believer of the Christian Faith. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. Along with his parents, Creed was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Ditty. In addition to his wife, Creed is survived by three daughters, Susie (Roy) Damron, Creeda (Mike) Adkins, Janey Brooks, one brother, Bobby Damron, one sister, Donna Farrell, four grandchildren, Candi (Michael) Roberts, Chad (Heather) Damron, Becky (Kevin) Robinson, Rusty Brooks, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jerry Adkins and John Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
