Nellie Wright

Nellie Thacker Wright, age 80, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015 at her daughter's home. Nellie was born on October 27, 1934 to her parents the late John C. Thacker and Matilda Slone Thacker. She was the wife of the late Robert "Bob" Wright, a homemaker, and a member of the Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Nellie was preceded in death by one brother, Burke Thacker, and four sisters, Dorothy Coleman, Helen Thacker, Elva Thacker, and Lenore Thacker. Nellie is survived by two sons, Ricky (Angela) Wright, Robby (Sandy) Wright, two daugthers, Tammy Blankenship, Dori (Kelly) Shortridge, one brother, Bruce Thacker, one sister, Louise Ray, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
