Minnie V. Raines

Minnie V. Raines, age 73, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Minnie was born on April 16, 1941 to her parents the late Grady Adkins and Minty Brown Adkins. She was the wife of the late Benny Raines, a homemaker, and a member of the Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Minnie was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Minnie is survived by one daughter, Minty (Bill) Verbeten, one sister, Ruth Bartley, one brother, Reaford Adkins, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Minsiters officiating. Burial will follow in the Warren G. Adkins Cemetery at Ford's Branch.
