John Gray

John Fredrick Gray, age 65, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. John was born on August 13, 1949 to his parents the late Fred Gray and Jetta Pearl Thacker Gray. He was an employee for Whayne Supply Company, a believer of the Sutton Baptist Church, and he also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Chaney. John is survived by one son, John Michael (Alyssa) Gray, one daughter, Shawna Nicole Gray, one sister, Kathy Elswick, three brothers, Gary, Phil, & Doug Gray, two granddaughters, Madison Caroline Gray and MacKenzie Grace Joseph, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Sutton Baptist Minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
