Jerry Simmons

Jerry Simmons, age 71, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Jerry was born on March 28, 1944 to his parents the late George Simmons and Dora Fields Simmons. He was the husband of Lois Ratliff Simmons, a retired coal miner, and a believer of the Christian Faith. Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by several brothers and two sisters. Along with his wife, Jerry is survived by one daughter, Angela Simmons, one brother, one sister, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Donnie Hall, Billy Compton, Ricky Wright, and Robert Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
