James Franklin Rich

James Franklin Rich, age 66, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. James was born on March 9, 1949 to his parents Myrtle Brewer Rich Gibson and the late Frank Rich. He was a retired coal miner and a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Along with his mother, James is survived by one son, James Christopher Rich, one daughter, Suzette Johnston, four sisters, Ethel Switzer, Rhynettia Martin, Donna Sue Martin, Pamela King, one brother, Timothy L. Rich, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at Pleasant Valley Church at Harold's Branch at 6p.m. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, May 4, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Church with Levi Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the King Cemetery at Cowpen.
