Wanda Carter

Wanda Lee Carter, age 71, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Wanda was born on Nov. 2, 1943 to her parents the late Clay Harris and Gusta Gillespie Harris. She was the wife of the late Theodore Lewis Carter, a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Wanda was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Wanda is survived by two daughters, Teresa Lynn Hamilton, Kimberly Ann Carter, three sons, Ted Carter Jr., Earl Edward Carter, Michael Eugene Carter, four sisters, Mary Rose Adkins, Donna Sue Justice, Margaret Harris, Pam Harris, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Levi Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
