Joyce Ann Adkins

Joyce Ann Adkins, age 73, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her residence. Joyce was born on April 10, 1942 to her parents the late Floyd Tackett and Ethel Little Tackett. She was the wife of Randall Blake Adkins, a retired employee for Pikeville Medical Center, and a member of the Shelby Valley Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by one son, Randall Dewayne Adkins, one infant daughter, Sandra Dee Tackett, and one brother, Vernon Tackett. Along with her husband, Joyce is survived by one daughter, Subrena (Duane) Hamilton, four brothers, Bobby, Billy, Charles, and Vornele Tackett, five sisters, Linda Summers, Peggy Roberts, Wanda Tackett, Dorothy Fleming, Lois Rutledge, three grandchildren,Brandi (Derek) Bentley, Brody Hamilton, Kolby Randall Adkins, two great grandchildren, Cameron James Bentley, Caden Ryan Bentley, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Greg Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Wolfpit.
