Edna Hamilton

Edna Marie Hamilton, age 69, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at her home. Edna was born on August 6, 1945 to her parents the late Freeman Hamilton and Josephine Stepp Hamilton. She was the wife of Elder Willie Hamilton, a homemaker, and a member of the Old Union Regular Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Edna was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Jay Hamilton, and one sister, Lorraine Lester. Along with her husband, Edna is survived by two sons, Ricky (Rachel) Hamilton, Willie Richard (Gretta) Hamilton Jr., two daugthers, Carolyn (Cledis) Hamilton, Lisa (Bryan) May, one brother, Thomas Hamilton, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Old Union Old Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Old Union Old Regular Baptist Church with Johnny Hamilton and other old regular baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Branch Cemtery at Penny Road of Virgie.
