Donald Varney

Donald Varney, age 76, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on August 9, 1938 to his parents the late John Varney and Ruby Hackney Varney. Donald was an electrician in the Eastern Mines and a member of the baptist church. Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Varney, and one sister, Phyllis Jean Brown. Donald is survived by two sons, Donald Wayne Varney, Scott Landon Varney, two grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky.
