Laura Salisbury

Laura Bell Salisbury, age 81, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the U.K. Medical Center. Laura was born on Feb. 16, 1934 to her parents the late Jim Adkins and Delcie Adkins. She was the wife of the late Elvey Salisbury, a homemaker, and a member of the Owsley Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Laura was preceded in death by four brothers, Clifford, Marley, Arthur, & Ervin Adkins, and five sisters, Thelma Justice, Edna Stratton, Josephine Stanley, Gladys Blair, and Edith Justice. Laura is survived by three sons, Gary Lee (Nina) Salisbury, Michael Salisbury, Glen Salisbury, two daughters, Enola Miller, Linda Salisbury, three sisters, Donna Frazier, Liz Dials, Lisa Warner, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 10a.m. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Eddie Overstreet officiating. Burial will follow in the Salisbury Cemetery.
