Myrtle Anderson

Myrtle Honaker Anderson 91, of Phyllis, KY passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born June 7, 1924 to her parents Jim and Alice Honaker. Myrtle was a homemaker and member of the Gabriel Church of Christ. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lester Anderson, four brothers, and seven sisters. She is survived by two sons: Elmer Anderson and his wife Mabelene; Luther Anderson and his wife Kathy; One Daughter, Nancy Hunt and her husband Willis; One sister, Irene Lowe, Two special friends: Jack Horne and Joe Ray Horne whom she claimed as family; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of loving friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation for Myrtle will be at the Gabriel Church of Christ Friday beginning at 6 P.M. There will be special services held Friday and Saturday evening at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be Sunday at 1 PM with Jack Horne and Joe Ray Horne officiating. The burial will follow in the Honaker family cemetery at Sunshine Layne.
