Myrtle Marie Easterling, age 83, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Myrtle was born on Aug. 19, 1932 to her parents the late Alvin Bentley and Virgie Angeline Adkins Bentley. She was the wife of the late James Franklin Easterling, a retired school teacher for the Pike County School System, a member of the Ky Teachers Association, and a believer of the baptist faith. Along with her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by one brother, Oliver Lee Bentley. Marie is survived by two sons, Danny Franklin (Donna) Easterling, James Kirby (Teresa) Easterling,two daughters, Deborah Marie (Terry) Anderson, Madonna Sue (Mark) Williams, special caretaker, Kathy Syck, two brothers, Lester Gene Bentley, James Ervin Bentley, three sisters, Wanda Faye Thacker, Panza Mae Miller, Patricia Lynn Bentley, ten grandchildren,Gary Wayne Anderson, Ginger Anderson, Christopher Easterling, Jason Easterling, Cody Easterling, Jillian Marie Reed, Leslie Williams, Kourtney Easterling, Kassidy Easterling, Kennedy Easterling, ten great-grandchildren, Tyler Easterling, Aaron Easterling, Isaac Easterling, Bryce Honeycutt, Jasmine Easterling, Kirsten Easterling, Addison Easterling, Ambria Anderson, Grant Reed, Benjamin Reed, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Sam Crawford and Morgan Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
