Elmer Madden, age 64, of Pikeville, Ky. passed away on Monday, November 9, 2105, at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on March 19, 1951 the son of the late Willie and Ethel Coleman Madden. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Plamer and Eugene Madden and by two sisters, Leslie Irick and Leona Parson. Elmer had been a coal miner and was of the Freewill Baptist belief. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Marie Alley Madden, by a son, Christopher Madden, by a daughter, Sherry Madden, one brother, Ralph Madden, by two sisters, Phyllis Madden and Susan Reed, by five grandchildren, Josh Wallace, Cory Roberts, Dewayne Hall, Madison Madden and Corbin Madden, by two great grandchildren, Jaxon Taylor and Jru Taylor, by a son-in-law, Buddy Hall and by a daughter-in-law, Amanda Madden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, after 6 p.m. at the Owsley Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Owsley Freewill Baptist Church with Eddie Overstreet, Jimmy Williamson and Billy Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmer's Garden Cemetery at Coon Branch, Pikeville. Special services will be held on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 7 p.m.
