Mary Worrix

Mary Magdalene Worrix, age 77, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 at her home. Mary was born on Aug. 28, 1938 to her parents the late Estil Thacker and Edith Madden Thacker. She was the wife of the late Calvin Worrix, retired from housekeeping at Pikeville Medical Center, and a member of the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister, and one granddaughter, Tonya Denise Worrix. Mary is survived by two sons, Ronnie (Lee) Worrix, Rickey (Drema) Worrix, one daughter, Diane Gannon, six grandchildren, Ronnie Bub Worrix, Chris Worrix, Kayla Morton, Shane Gannon, Destane Gannon, Abigail Gannon, several great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jim Patton and Kelly Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Worrix Cemetery at Upper Pompey.
