Helen Marie Varney

Helen Marie Varney, age 63, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Helen was born on May 25, 1952 to her parents the late Ballard Estep and Josie Hayes Estep. She was the wife of Dennis Varney, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy E. Estep and Harrison Hayes. Along with her husband, Helen is survived by two daughters, Vivian Chaney, Shelia Barton, two sisters, Vernie (Tootsie) Robinson, Bobbie Anderson, three grandchildren, Denise Miller, LaSha Chaney, Cody Barton, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at 12 noon at the Upper Grapevine Church of Christ with Dewayne Abshire and Jim Abshire officiating. Burial will be in Varney Cemetery at Phyllis, Ky.
