Michael Derry

Michael Derry, age 61, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Michael was born on Nov. 5, 1954 to his parents the late James Edward Derry and Dolly Childers Derry. He was the husband of Becky Reese Derry, a vocational school teacher, and a member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Scotty Derry. Along with his wife, Michael is survived by two daughters, Crissy Sexton and Misty McCarroll, four grandchildren, Reece, Elliott, Liam, and Landon, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral home will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving. The funeral will be Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Roger Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the W.H. Coleman Cemetery at Wolfpit, Ky.
