Jimmy Bartley

Jimmy Bartley 70, of Nicholasville, KY, formerly of Pikeville, KY, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born May 24, 1945 in Pikeville , KY. He was the son of the late Amos and Mary Tackett Bartley. Along with his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two sisters: Ima Jean Bartley Burks and Kathleen Bartley Akers. Jimmy was a retired coal miner for Canada Coal Company and a member of the Wellington Christian Church. He is survived by his wife Sonna Jean Bartley; two daughters: Lisa Bartley and Kathy Bartley Picarazzi; three brothers: Homer Bartley, Gomer Bartley, and Amos Jr. Bartley; and two grandchildren: Jamie and Eva Rose Picarazzi; and a host of loving friends who will miss him. Visitation will be Sunday January 31, at the Shelbiana Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 01, 2016 at the Shelbiana Church of Christ with Bobby Ford officiating. The burial will follow in the Collins Family Cemetery at Frozen Creek
