Don H. Coleman, age 85, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Pike County, April 10, 1930, a son of the late Sid and Beatrice Coleman. Don was retired from Republic Steel Coal. He was a deacon and member of Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Thomas C. Cecil Masonic Lodge. Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patty June Coleman; and one brother Harold Coleman. He is survived by his sister, Brenda (Gary) Collins of Louisville, one son, Jerry A. (Linda) Coleman of Marrowbone, two granddaughters, Danielle (Mark) Reed of Pikeville, Megan (Jeff) Settles of Lexington, two great-grandsons, Brayden Mark Reed, Grayson Daniel Reed, and a host of loving family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church with Randy Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
