Ked Adkins age 75 passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at his home. Ked was born on Feb. 1, 1941 to his parents the late Emmitt Adkins and Cindy Spears Adkins. He was the husband of Gaynell Justice Adkins, an auto worker for Chrysler Corp., and an Old Regular Baptist Minister. Along with his parents, Ked was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Along with his wife, Ked is survived by one daughter, Corcinda (Paul)Cline, two sons, Danny Emmitt (Janet) Adkins, Ricky Ked (Tina) Adkins, one brother, Clinard Adkins, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with James Tackett, Jimmy Dale Sanders, Herman West, Bob Justice, Timothy Adkins, Teddy Honaker, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
