Goldina McCown

Goldina McCown, age 81, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at her home. Goldina was born on Jan. 16, 1935 to her parents the late Charles "Bigger" Raines and Effie Goff Raines. She was the wife of the late Thomas R. McCown, a telephone operator for Sears, and a member of Sutton Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Goldina was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Daniels, Margie Chaney, and one brother, Paul Raines. Goldina is survived by three sons, Larry McCown, Tom (Jeannie) McCown, Luke (Judy) McCown, two brothers, Howard Raines, Jack Raines, four sisters, Sue Rogers, Rita Pugh, Patty Hall, Judy Raines, three grandchildren, Tommy McCown, Casey Kerns, Taylor Brooke McCown, two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Davin, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, March 25, 2016, at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Fiddler Cemetery at Pikeville, Ky.
