Ross McCoy

Ross James McCoy 23 of Pikeville, Ky passed away March 21, 2016 while in Central Baptist Hospital, following a brief illness. Ross was born October 29, 1992 to his parents Greg and Mia McCoy. Ross was working on dual majors of Bachelors of Psychology and Bachelors of Science in Nursing while attending the University of Kentucky. Ross was a member of the University Kentucky Honor Society. Ross graduated in 2011 from Pikeville High School. Ross has been proceeded in death by loving and caring Mommaw Bonnie Burchett and Grandma Doris Anderson McCoy. Besides his parents, Ross is survived by his Grandfather’s Grandpa Keith (Lucia) McCoy and Grumpsy James (Jim) Burchett. Ross is survived by uncles Keith Wayne (Madonna) McCoy, Uncle Brother Stephen (Angela) Burchett, Aunt Danita Sullivan, Aunt Becky Lorenz, A Loving Girlfriend Sydney Hall. Cousins: Zach McCoy, Paul David (Beth) Sullivan, Josh (Erica) Sullivan, Paula Sullivan and Heather Sullivan. Pallbearers will be his Band of Brothers: Paul Sullivan, Josh Sullivan, Zach McCoy, Charles Martin Mims, Madison Coleman, Steven Layne, Austin Billiter, Layne Cecil, Anthony Evans, Travis Black, Blake Branham, Taylor Ratliff, Coby May, Owen Sullivan, Jarrod Johnson, and Dylan Adkins. Visitation will be 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2016 in the Pikeville High School Auditorium. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the Pikeville High School Auditorium. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ross McCoy Scholarship Fund. The family also asks that everyone wear UK Blue to the funeral Saturday.
