Louanna Newsome Damron

Louanna Newsome Damron, age 83, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Louanna was born on February 1, 1933 to her parents the late William Newsome and Myrtle Damron Newsome. Louanna was the wife of Oley Damron , she was a homemaker, and a member of the Burning Springs Old Regular Baptist Church. Louanna Damron was preceded in death by two sisters Flossie Newsome, Oma Akers and two brothers Terrell Newsome and Annias Bartley. Louanna Damron is survived by her husband Oley Damron. Louanna is also survived by two sons Bradley Blake Hopkins (Vicki) and Gregory Dale Damron (Pauline), one sister Spicy McPeek and two grandchildren Sharon Gibson (Jonathan),Joshua Tyler Damron and one great grandchild Jondra Blake Gibson and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with church services Sunday and Monday at 7:00 PM with Vernon Damron, John Paul Hamilton, Floyd Compton, James Young, and Jack Lucas officiating. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 12 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Newsome Branch Cemetery, Penny Road.
