Anna Sue Smith

Anna Sue Branham Smith, age 81, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Anna Sue was born on April 23, 1935 to her parents the late Jerry Little and Celia Roberts Little. She was the wife of the late John Smith, a homemaker, and a member of the Caney Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Anna Sue was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard (Dickie) Branham, one daughter, Glema (Goble) Newsome, one step grandson, Chris Jones, one sister, Geneva Stanley, two brothers, Paul Roberts & Neil Roberts. Anna Sue is survived by two daughters, Shelia (Rick) Jones, Brenda (Danny) Damron, one step daughter, Brenda (Kenneth) Osborne, one brother, Claude Roberts, four grandchildren, Ricky (Amber) Jones Jr., Danita Damron, Allison (C.J.) Mullins, Frankie (Ryan) Newsome, one step grandchild, Danielle (Mark) Reed, six great grandchildren, Layne, Caden, Rylee, Maddie, Molly, and Luke,two step great grandchildren, Brayden and Grayson, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, May 2, 2016 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kermit Wright, Teddy Honaker, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
