Jerry Mar Thacker

Jerry Mar Thacker, age 75, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at the Mt. View Health Care Center. Jerry was born January 1, 1941 to his parents the late Ruey Hobe Thacker and Bertha Thacker. Jerry was a retired coal miner for Long Fork Coal Company and of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Fay Thacker. Jerry was also preceded in death by one son Jerry Edward Thacker, one sister Velma Kinney and two brothers Eugene Thacker and Bill Thacker. Jerry is survived by three daughters Liz Ann Thacker, Jerri Lynn Thacker (James), Jamie Sue Ray (Gary). Jerry is survived by three brothers Howard Thacker, Lawson Thacker and Lonnie Thacker and seven grandchildren, John Markus Adkison, Luke Thomas Adkison, Jacob Matthew Thacker, Jalyn Nicole Thacker, Ashley Paige Ray, Garrett Lawson Ray, Kaylee Danyel Ray and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The Funeral will be Tuesday, at 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Garfield Thacker and other ministers. Burial will follow at the Thacker Family Cemetery.
