Lexie Haney

Lexie Haney, age 78, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Lexie was born January 11, 1938 to her parents the late Clestus Cantrell and Mollie Sykes Cantrell. Lexie was the wife of James C. Haney, a homemaker and of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Lexie is survived by her husband, James C. Haney and by three daughters Sheila (Keith) Dickerson, Brenda (Alvin) Davenport and Teresa (Harold) Kelly. Survived also by one brother Albert H. Cantrell and one sister Loretta Hawkins. Lexie is survived by five grandchildren Shawna Kelly, Rachel Dickerson, Michael Kelly, Alexander Dickerson and Clay Davenport and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation for Lexie will be Sunday, 7:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11:00 AM at the Hylton Old Regular Baptist Church at Shelby Gap. Burial will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery, Shelby Gap with Jerry Overstreet and Larry Puckett will be officiating.
