Irene Morgan

Irene Cavins Morgan, age 88, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Irene was born on March 15, 1928 to her parents the late Sherman Cavins and Ella Justice Adams. She was the wife of the late Woodrow Morgan, and a retired nurse assistant at Pikeville Medical Center. Along with her husband and parents, Irene was preceded in death by one son, Roger Morgan, one great grandchild, Courtney Nicole Meade, two sisters, Geraldine Morgan, Kristine Morgan, three brothers, Billy Gene Adams, Ravine Adams, and Harold Dean Adams. Irene is survived by two sons, Rodney Morgan, Richard Morgan, two daughters, Del N. Morgan, Priscilla Wyatt, two sisters, Sondra Trivette, Wanda Pruitt, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Clinard Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
