Tommy Hopkins, age 83 of Red Creek passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Tommy was born on Nov. 16, 1932 to his parents the late Dolphe Hopkins and Jenny Tucker Hopkins. He was a retired deputy sheriff and heavy equipment operator, and also a member of Red Creek Church of God. Along with his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by one son, Tommie Dewayne Hopkins, one brother, and five sisters. Tommy is survived by one son, Darrell Hopkins, one daughter, Tonya Hopkins Corder, the mother of his children, Wanda Bishop Hopkins, four grandchildren, Matthew Corder, Zackery Sykes, Tristin Sykes, Tiona Hopkins, two great grandchildren, Sammy Corder, Shawn Corder, and a host of loving family and friends. The funeral will be Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Alfred Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
