Harvey Coleman

James (Harvey) Coleman, age 78, passed away Wednesday June 1, 2016 at his home. Harvey was born on May 28, 1938 to his parents the late Ted R. Coleman and Ada Good Coleman. He was the husband of Deloris (Lois) Martin Coleman, a retired employee of CSX, and a member of the Victory Temple Holiness Church. Along with his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by two brothers Randy and Robert Coleman, and three sisters, Diana Barber, Fosta Coleman, and Bonnie Hogston. Along with his wife, Harvey is survived by two sons, James Harvey Coleman Jr., Michael Coleman, one daughter, Rita Anderson, one brother, Phillip Ervin Coleman, three sisters, Buna Barber, Betty Phillips, Amilee Neighbors, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Clinard Ratliff and Bill Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
