Fay Blackburn

Fay Blackburn, age 95, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at her home. Fay was born on March 17, 1921 to her parents the late French Blackburn and Bessie Spears Blackburn. She was the wife of the late Elster Blackburn, a homemaker, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Fay was preceded in death by one daughter, Emmalou Boskee, two granddaughters, Michelle Boskee and Lisa Gail Blackburn, one brother Ersel Blackburn, and two sisters, Toka Hunt, and Luciana Blackburn. Fay is survived by one son, Kenneth (Joan) Blackburn of Pikeville, four daughters, Juanita (Butch) Sheely of Winchester, Phyllis (William C.) Hillerman of Pikeville, Eve (Kenny) Ford of Michigan, Linda (Jack) Tibbs of Pikeville, one brother, Chester (Judy) Blackburn, fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dale Williamson, Danny Runyon, Richard Staton, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn Family Cemetery at Brushy.
