Billy Eugene Johnson, Jr.

Billy Eugene Johnson, Jr. age 57, of Elkhorn City, KY. passed away on Sunday July 3, 2016 at his residence. He was born on September 14, 1958, the son of the late Billy Eugene and Madeline Sue Johnson, in addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by an infant brother. Billy was a disabled coalminer and had worked for Chislomn Coal Company. He was also a member of the Elkhorn City United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Debra Lynn Johnson, by two daughters, Tina Lynn Johnson (Robert) May and Christy Eugena Johnson (Erik) Toler, by a brother, John David (Stephanie) Johnson, four grandchildren, Dalton Tyler Tackett, Anthony Wayne Tackett, John Ross Tackett and Noah Luke Toler, and by a niece, Alyssa Johnson. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 4, 2016, after 6 p.m. at the Elkhorn City United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Elkhorn City United Methodist Church with Tommy Taulbee officiating. Burial will follow in the Peter Adkins Family Cemetery at Greasy Creek. Special services will be held on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7 p.m.
