Sidney Johnson

Sidney Johnson, age 90, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Highlands Nursing and Rehab Center in Louisville, Ky. Sidney was born on Nov. 12, 1925 to his parents the late Sidney Johnson and Julia Robinson Johnson. He was the husband of Eleanor Coleman Johnson for 68 years, a retired engineer for General Motors, and he also served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II. Along with his parents, Sidney was preceded in death by two brothers, Palmerine Johnson and Don Allen Johnson. Along with his wife, Sidney is survived by one son, Ted (Ingeborg) Johnson, one daughter, Sue Ward, one sister, Myrtle Ann Mullins, three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday July 7, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kermit Wright and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Yeager, Ky.
