Lois Johnson

Lois Johnson, age 87, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at her home. Lois was born on May 3, 1929 to her parents the late Haney Bentley and Maudie Belcher Bentley. She was the wife of the late Jonah Johnson, a homemaker, and a member of the Pilgrim Rest Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Lois was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Burke, one grandson, one brother, Bruce Bentley, and three sisters, Laura Hardin, Frona Powell, and Georgie Bentley. Lois is survived by one son, Clyde (Stephanie) Johnson, one brother, Eulys Bentley, two sisters, Patsy Armstrong, Carol Tackett, nine grandchildren, eighteeen great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jerry Damron, Danny Belcher, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Beefhide.
