Bettie Dahlia Hampton

Bettie Dahlia Hampton, age 88, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Bettie Dahlia Hampton was born on December 23, 1927 to her parents the late Jesse Newsome and Liza Elswick Newsome. Bettie Dahlia was a self employed merchant and attended the Old Regular Baptist Church. Bettie Dahlia was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters, Mary Spence Tackett, Draxie Damron, Daisy Sexton, Dolly Roberts, and Martha Newsome. Bettie Dahlia Hampton is survived by her husband Clifford Hampton and one daughter Elfreda L. Lockhart. Bettie Dahlia is survived by three sisters Rosie Hopkins, Nellie Elkins, and Myrtle Smith. She is also survived by one granddaughter Melissa Meinze White her husband Trenton and one Great Granddaughter Dahlia Vee White and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6:00 PM with church services at 7:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Officiating will be Old Regular Baptist Ministers. Burial will follow at the Clifford Hampton Cemetery, Long Fork, Ky.
