Dixie Meade

Dixie Meade, age 89, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her home. Dixie was born on July 31, 1927 to her parents the late Albert Stephens and Mary Compton Stephens. She was the wife of the late Shearlie Meade, a retired employee for Shurtleff's Laundry, and a member of the Coon Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Dixie was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Jr., Raymond, and John Lee Stephens, and one sister, Arvetta Edgars. Dixie is survived by one daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Fuller, one granddaughter, Ashley (Evan) Fuller Ratliff, two great grandchildren, Bayleigh Fuller, Silas Ratliff, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Primitive Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel, Ky.
