Elsie Bartley

Elsie Mae Bartley, age 73, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Elsie was born on May 28, 1943 to her parents Florence Bowling Bartley and the late Burl Bartley. She was the wife of the late Estes Bartley, a homemaker, and a member of the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and father, Elsie was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Anderson and Michael Darrell Anderson, and one daughter, Melinda Anderson. Along with her mother, Elsie is survived by two sons, Ronald Dale Rose, Jerry Bartley, three daughters, Shelia Honaker, Patricia Slone, Geanine Woods, one sister, Gwendolyn JOhnson, five brothers, Glen, Donald, Roger, Larry, Gilbert, and Billy Bartley, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at 1p.m. at the Bowling Fork Freewill Baptist Church with Jimmy Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
