Maxie Comer

Maxie M. Comer, age 85, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at her home. Maxie was born on July 21, 1931 to her parents the late Tilden May and Rosalie Slone May. She was the wife of the late Charles Comer, a homemaker, and a member of the Methodist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Maxie was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Comer, three brothers, Kenny May, Denny May, and Olen May, and three sisters, Ada Anderson, Stella Bailey, and Viola May. Maxie is survived by one son, Timothy J. Comer, one daughter, Pamela Sue Comer, one sister, Dolly J. (Clyde) Griffith, two grandchildren, Charles Keith Comer, Timothy M. Comer, two great grandchildren, and a special friend, Carl Bentley, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Levi Coleman and others officiating. Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery.
